I’m glad you’re here! Searching for a therapist can feel like a LOT, I hope that you can give yourself credit for taking a step toward bettering your mental health today.
Life is full of the unexpected, sometimes it can lead us to feel exhausted, defeated, and overwhelmed. I’m here to validate those feelings and work with adolescent and adult clients in learning how to accept unpleasant or undesirable emotions and take committed action toward the people they want to be. I also have training in working with children under 12 using child-centered play therapy. Regardless of age, I believe that the relationship between the client and counselor is paramount to effective therapy, and I am passionate about providing a safe and
warm environment for clients to facilitate growth. I believe that you have the strength and resilience within you to work through whatever has been weighing you down, sometimes we all just need some help.
I graduated from Tulane University with a Bachelor of Science in Management in 2014. After several years of working in marketing, which included earning a Master of Business Administration from Loyola University New Orleans, I decided to trade in my spreadsheets for a feelings chart, later graduating from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Masters in Counseling. I was drawn to the counseling field by a great passion for mental health and an overwhelming desire to help others.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling, watching football, and being out on the water.
I work with clients using a blend of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS). My approach is adaptable to fit the needs of individual clients, as I believe that no approach is “one size fits all.” Above all else, I want you to know that it’s okay not to be okay and that it’s possible for things to get better.
