MSW, LCSWA
Throughout my life, my passion has been helping people have the tools, acceptance, and confidence to feel at peace in life and to find joy, no matter what is happening around them. That feeling of peace and acceptance creates room for personal growth and understanding that, in turn, impacts every aspect of life. I am thrilled for the opportunity to provide a therapeutic space for this kind of growth and healing. We all have strengths, capacities, and contributions beyond our current selves, and sometimes we need help removing the barriers blocking us from being the person we want to be.
I received my bachelor’s degree in International Relations, as well as my master’s degree in Clinical Social Work, from Brigham Young University. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate in North Carolina.

I work with adults, adolescents, and children dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and major life changes. I work from a Person-Centered approach, which creates a space for you to feel completely accepted without judgment. This leads to self-compassion, personal peace, healing, insights, and the strength to continue growing and becoming. I integrate Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Therapy, and EMDR to aid in this process, based on the client's needs. Additionally, I am foundationally trained in EMDR, which is a powerful therapy for processing trauma and other difficult experiences.
As a Certified Synergetic Play Therapist, I specialize in working with children who have experienced trauma. My goal is to utilize a child-centered approach to create a safe and supportive environment where children can explore their emotions, re-pattern their nervous system, develop coping skills, and be empowered through their natural language of play. I also work with parents/caregivers to give them tools that will strengthen their relationship with their child. I am also able to incorporate Christian themes upon request.

I have been married for over 16 years and have four children. My hobby is picking up new hobbies, so at any given point in my life, you may find me whittling, embroidering, painting, decorating cookies, running, kayaking, hiking, cycling, or reading. My love for traveling and meeting people from different cultures led me to volunteer in various places through long-term assignments and mission work in places such as Uganda, East Africa, Guam, and Micronesia.
Life is full of highs and lows, but the lows don’t need to overcome or define you. If you feel that I am a good fit for your counseling needs, I would love to be part of your journey to live your life in a way that brings you joy and fulfillment.
