Welcome! I’m glad you're here. Life is complex and full of a wide range of experiences, making each person's journey unique. Through a strong therapeutic relationship, and with the proper tools in place, my goal is to help you live life in the healthiest possible way.
When working with adolescents and adults, I prefer to use a Person-Centered and
Narrative approach to therapy. I believe people can begin to heal and even thrive when provided with a supportive and validating environment, free from judgment.
With a strong foundation in person-centered, I also draw upon Narrative therapy styles to help explore and process the “stories” we believe to be true about ourselves and those around us, making changes to the stories that no longer serve us.
I graduated from Gardner-Webb University twice; the first was with a Bachelor of Music and the second time, was with a Master of Divinity. I have worked in Church ministry settings for 13 years with both adolescents and adults before going back to school at Wake Forest University where I am currently working on my Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my partner and our two daughters. I am also a huge music lover and love to spend time at concerts and playing music.
