Aurien Little

Counseling Intern

My name is Aurien Little, and I am a student at Regent University pursuing my master’s degree in School Counseling. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies, with a minor in Peace, Conflict, and Identity Studies, from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I have experience working with children both personally and professionally. While I value working with individuals from all backgrounds, I am especially passionate about supporting those navigating OCD, ADHD, anxiety, anger management, life transitions, spiritual concerns, and academic or systemic challenges.

I approach counseling from a person-centered perspective, grounded in the belief that individuals have the capacity for growth when met with understanding, authenticity, and support. My goal is to create a space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences at their own pace. I also draw from existential therapy to help clients explore questions of identity, purpose, and meaning, particularly during times of transition or uncertainty. When working with children, I incorporate play therapy, recognizing that play is a natural and developmentally appropriate way for them to communicate, process their emotions, and better understand the world around them.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my children, being outdoors, cooking, connecting with friends, and embracing the everyday moments that make up life’s journey.
